COVID19 poem

A short poem on COVID19

So many thoughts flooded my mind while writing this poem. Coronavirus has shown us an entirely new way to live life. Death, disease and destruction became gruesome part of life and we talked about it as if it’s a normal occurrence. People became a mere statistic.

Here’s a short poem I penned on the pandemic situation:

fear was its first-born,
then came insecurity,
doubt followed closely,
tears flooded the world,
coronavirus killed
something within us all.

  2. I had a bad time when the coronavirus came into my house as an unwanted guest.
Well said corona virus develops a fear of death among us. We have seen the condition of doctors, how they felt helpless in front of this virus.
The whole world is waiting for that medicine which can kill it from its roots.

  3. I think, Corona-virus has killed a lot of things in us. And this is the most difficult phase for kids, They arent able to live real life, living indoors like being in cage it not a real life.

  4. So true. You’ve captured the essence of this dreaded pandemic well. Death has touched us all in some way or the other, be it death of one’s dreams and hopes or a loved one.

  5. Love the poem. You have reflected the journey really well in such a few lines. Coronavirus has affected almost each one of us, we have all lost someone close to it.

  6. That’s true … corona has killed something within all of us. But there is no other go we all have to face this baddest phase of our lives with positivity (if possible as it really depends upon person and circumstances).

  7. For me, it killed some things that I always wanted to get rid of. Ego, flamboyance, lack of self care routine, lack of financial literacy. I really feel blessed to be sane amidst this insanity!
