Well, the first post in #40NotOut was a serious & preachy one: How to activate your health transformation journey? The one you are about to read is intentionally funny and meant to help you identify where you stand in your commitment to fitness.
Well, before you proceed, there are a few misconceptions that I want to clear:
Being thin is not equal to being healthy
Losing weight is not the same as getting healthier
There is NO fast and easy way to get healthy
Before I started my health journey, I was lovingly teased by my husband who said, “Woh Monday kab aayega?” (since I always made a resolve to start on the next Monday.)
As you already know, the #40NotOut series is where I, a 43-year-old working mother of two will be revealing my secrets to health transformation. While I urge you to walk this path with me, I know from experience that excuses always get the better of us.
Scroll ahead and let me know – which one is YOU:
Let’s make life simple. No Pain. No Pain. ‘Cos who needs it anyway.
Breathing & sleeping burn lots of calories. Now, there is only so much a body can do.
I’m just really, REALLY busy. I don’t have time for exercise.
I have 230 things on my to-do list. I can’t waste my time on a fitness routine.
The day got away from me, but I will totally exercise tomorrow.
I’m too unfit to exercise.
My favourite exercise is Shavasana and the Sleepilates, of course.
I need to be motivated to exercise.
Sorry, not today. My sister’s friend’s mother’s grandpa’s brother’s grandson’s uncle’s fish died. And yes, it was tragic.
I’ll start my diet Tomorrow.
Its Genetics. Diets Don’t Work For Me.
I Love Food Too Much.
I’ve Had A Bad Day. I Deserve A Treat.
Which one of the above describes YOU? Do let me know.
Also, do follow the next post in this series where I compare weight loss to health transformation. Be ready for a lot of amazing facts and easy to follow tips that will help you kickstart your health transformation journey.

Dear Reader: You must know that I am not a healthcare expert and nor am I posing to be one through this series. I am sharing my personal experiences and journey. I urge you to speak to your healthcare professional before trying anything in this series.
