Story: Be Mine
The newly opened Bandra-Worli Sea-link presented a beautiful backdrop for Mohan’s fantasies to soar. He would propose to the love of his life right at the centre of the bridge. The Mumbai traffic kept disturbing his daydreams. Among the pandemonium, he could hear her voice, smell her perfume & feel her soft touch. Will his fantasies come true? Anyone who has had an office romance will love this story.

Love does not triumph always! I was hoping for a happy ending, but that would not have made the story as effective. The traffic jam and the road rage have been caught well.

True with a broken heart world certainly looks different. Why didn’t he express his love earlier? If he was so close, he did not know that she was getting engaged? Heart breaking, indeed.

Men are more afraid of rejection than women. Especially because of the way they have been brought up to follow the stereotypical image of a strong man, who will be liked by all if he conforms. Thank you for visiting the blog post and taking your time out to comment.

Life and its hard ways. Sigh. There is never the right moment to say something you really want to. Just go ahead and do it. Loved the way you wrote this, Mayura.

Wonderfully written Mayura, I fell in love with the ‘adhoori kahani’. Traffic snarls and unending jams – man turning into day dreamer. And then the sudden jolt of cruel reality.
Beautiful.

Har prem kahani adhuri kyon hoti hai,
Har chah ki rah kyon nahi hoti hai,
Jab kisi apne ko khojte hai is bheed main,
Apno se hi bewafai kyon hoti hai,
Sapno ki urano main,
Manjil Tak pahuchte pahuchte kyon har dor choot jati hai…
Bus ..har prem kahani adhuri kyon hoti hai………
Loved it Mayura, these words are my expressions to how I felt while reading your story…
