There are so many excuses that people have for not getting on the path of good health. Here are 4 stories of common people who overcame all hurdles and transformed their health.

The first story is about a high flying Global Consultant to Ministeries with no time for himself. SR Shrikanth hangs out with the likes of Bill Clinton & Prime Ministers of several countries. He has about 300 travel days in his calendar. Despite a busy schedule, this foodie lost 53 kgs in 20 months.

He took dozens of gym memberships but never went to the gym for more than 20 days in total. He was always a healthy (fat child) who found comfort in binge eating. His waist size was a whopping 44 at the age of 25 and he started feeling breathless while walking. That’s when he decided to do something about his health. He believes: getting in shape is not some project that one takes up to complete in a stipulated time and then stops working on it. Its a lifestyle change and a life-long commitment.

Well, that’s me! I spent a lot of money on weight loss programmes, wasted time and energy in crash diets. Kept hearing people complaining about how one can never lose weight and one will always remain fat. I had zero muscle strength and sub-zero muscle endurance. I still remember the first time I started walking to remain fit – I started panting after 450 m and had to sit down for 15 min to catch my breath. Today, I run marathons, win cricket and throwball tournaments. I am a sports person who has an extremely busy work schedule and a demanding family with kids, husband and in-laws.
