March 6, 2015 – within one day my hair became half the volume because of the hair dresser’s ‘slicing technique’ for the short bob.
After the entrepreneurship bug bit me in mid-2015, the stress became part of my daily routine. Long hours, irregular eating habits, no exercise and lack of sleep kept piling up. To top it, I went in for a short bob where the hairdresser used the ‘slicing technique’ to thin my hair. Result? My hair lost tenacity and strength. My maid started complaining about the strands of hair found in every corner of my home. Whenever I ran my fingers through my hair, several strands just came off. My short bob needed constant ironing so that the ‘look’ remains chic.

Stress, regular ironing, lack of sleep, irregular food habits – everything led to hair fall. I was balding…faster than ever.Â
One night I had a nightmare. I dreamed that I had lost all my hair and bore a tired, haggard and sad look. I woke up to a warning signal and decided to do something about it. Spas were an expensive proposition. Money flow in sporadically when one is an entrepreneur and thus the luxury of a spa became a privileged affair. My hair needed regular care through an affordable solution.

Enter grapeseed oil.

The super ingredient – my hero and saviour. It was this oil that brought back my lost crown. I bought a bottle of pure grapeseed oil from the Sula Vineyards, Nashik and started using it. I would warm the oil and massage it into my hair for about 20 minutes and leave it overnight.
The next morning, I washed it off using Johnson Baby Shampoo. I made sure to shampoo it twice using hot water so that all the oil was washed off and my hair was squeaky clean. The safest shampoo in the whole world. I don’t care what the world says.
I used the Dove Hair Fall Rescue conditioner. Less is more in this case. Just a tiny 25p coin size on the hair ends acts like a magic potion.
Just a 25p coin size on hair ends does the magic. I rinsed my hair with lukewarm water first and then cold water to seal all the goodness. I was careful to avoid harsh hair dryers or heating products immediately after the hair wash. Slowly, but steadily my hair gained back its strength, tenacity and volume. My hair growth was better than ever before and the length magically increased. Hair fall was arrested. From large bunches of hair, the hair fall reduced to just a few strands. It was a relief to see this.

From a huge bunch of hair, my hair fall has reduced to just a few strands. All this within five weeks.
Slowly my hair inched towards health. Notice how the scalp just above my forehead has new growth. I made steady progress. Each day was a step towards healthier hair. Mind you, my life remained as stressful as ever, the food timings, lack of sleep and hectic deadlines continued. Nothing else changed except the weekly hair care routine.
The health is back!! The balding patch slowly started to disappear with new hair appearing. My hair became soft and manageable.
This pic is dated: July 25, 2016. About 6 weeks after I started the hair treatment. Notice that the bounce and shine is back. My balding patch has almost disappeared.

At the end of 5 weeks, the hair fall has reduced to a very large extent. The results are in front of you. In fact, my hairdresser was shocked to see the difference in my hair and kept asking me which spa treatment had resulted in this transformation. She was totally unaware of grapeseed oil and its benefits.
I have read that grapeseed oil can cause side effects due to allergy. I would request anyone who would like to try this to do a patch test prior to using the oil. Be sure to use pure grapeseed oil for this treatment.
The commercially available oils have chemicals that can harm your hair. Hope this post brings a smile to your face and lights up the hope for healthy hair.

After reading this post, several people asked me where they could procure the oil from. A friend sent this to me. You can order it from Nature’s Basket app. The price is the same as Sula.
